If i want my dirty blonde hair lighter blonde, do i have to bleach it?

I can't open the second picture on my computer, but if your hair isn't too dark, then no, you don't have to bleach it. With permanent color, you can get up to 5 shades of lift. However, if you're using a box then you can only lift two levels. Dirty blonde is about a level 6, so if you go to Sally's, they have a Clairol Pro permanent color line that is great. You can get an applicator bottle if you can't manage bowl and brush. Get a 10G or 10N and mix with equal parts 40 vol. developer. It won't necessarily turn out as light as the swatches so look in the swatch book that shows how it turns out with different hair colors. If that's not light enough, get a 12G or 12N and use 2 parts 40 developer per 1 oz. color. Ask a worker for help if you can't find what I'm talking about. But that should work, plus Clairol color has soy in it so it's not too bad on your hair, but bleaching is! Hope you can make it work :)
