GUYS: My girlfriend and I had a BIG fight and I left her house?

We've been together a year. She was the reason we fought, but I guess I overreacted when she kept arguing. So guys, How long would you wait for her to contact you? How long until you would just move on? Would you contact her first? PLEASE only answer if you're a guy with a backbone and hate being walked on. ALL girls give the same advice.
